Where’s my freight?
Every Qeep load has a named specialist watching it. Send your reference number and you get real status from the person who actually knows the load — the carrier's last position, the honest ETA, and the plan if something has moved.
Freight visibility, without the theatre.
Freight tracking is the practice of knowing where a shipment is, whether it will arrive when promised, and what to do if it will not. Parcel carriers solve this with barcode scans at every hub. Truckload freight has no hubs — the trailer is sealed at origin and opened at destination — so visibility comes from three other sources: GPS and ELD position reports transmitted by the carrier, scheduled check calls with the driver, and appointment confirmations with the receiver. Qeep combines all three and gives you one person accountable for reconciling them.
We deliberately do not publish an automated status board that invents milestones. A dot on a map that has not moved in six hours tells you nothing about whether the load will make its Thursday appointment. A specialist who has just spoken to the driver does.
Three steps to a straight answer.
Send the reference
Your Qeep load number, your own purchase order, or the bill of lading number — any one of the three is enough to find the shipment. If you have none of them, the pickup date and origin city will do.
A specialist reads the load, not a database
The person who booked your freight checks the carrier's last position report, the driver's hours and the receiving appointment before answering. That is why the answer includes what happens next, not just where the truck sat an hour ago.
You get status plus a decision
If the load is running late, you hear the recovery plan in the same message: re-power, team driver, expedite, or a reworked delivery appointment. Status without a plan is just news.
Four things that get you an answer in one message.
None of these are mandatory — we will find the load either way. They simply collapse a back-and-forth into a single reply, which matters most when a receiver is waiting on the dock.
Qeep load number, PO or BOL. Cross-border loads also carry a PARS or PAPS number on the customs paperwork.
City and province or state is enough. It disambiguates instantly when a shipper has several loads running the same week.
The scheduled date, not the date you booked. Appointment windows are how carriers and receivers index freight.
A live position, a revised ETA, a POD copy, or a temperature record. Saying which one up front turns three messages into one.
What each freight status actually means.
Shipment statuses are not standardised across the industry, and the same word can mean different things at two brokerages. Here is exactly what each term means when it comes from a Qeep specialist.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Booked | A vetted carrier has been contracted and the load is confirmed on their board. Equipment is assigned, but the truck has not arrived at origin. |
| Dispatched | The driver has been given the load and is en route to the pickup. Position tracking begins at this point. |
| At pickup | The truck is on-site at the shipper. Loading, counting and paperwork are in progress. |
| In transit | Freight is loaded and moving. Position updates come from carrier telematics, ELD pings or driver check calls, depending on the carrier. |
| At border | Cross-border only. The load is at a Canada–US gateway awaiting customs release on a PARS or PAPS entry. |
| Out for delivery | The truck has arrived in the destination market and is working toward its delivery appointment window. |
| Delivered | Freight is off the truck and signed for. Proof of delivery is normally available the same day. |
| POD received | The signed bill of lading is on file with Qeep and can be emailed to you or attached to the invoice. |
Tracking questions, answered.
How do I track a Qeep Logistics shipment?
Enter your Qeep load number, purchase order or bill of lading number in the tracking form on this page, or call the desk directly. A specialist responds with the load's current position, the carrier's last report and a revised ETA if the schedule has moved. Self-serve tracking inside the Qeep customer portal is currently in development.
Can I track a shipment without a load number?
Yes. Give us the origin city, destination city and the scheduled pickup date and we can identify the shipment from the board. A purchase order or BOL number is faster, but neither is mandatory.
How often is freight position updated?
It depends on the carrier's technology. Most modern fleets transmit automatic GPS or ELD position reports every 15 minutes to an hour. Carriers without telematics are covered by scheduled driver check calls — typically at pickup, once mid-transit and on arrival. Expedited and temperature-controlled loads are monitored more frequently.
Why does my truckload shipment not show parcel-style scan events?
Truckload freight is not scanned at hubs the way parcels are, because it never leaves the trailer between pickup and delivery. There are no intermediate scan points to report. Visibility on a truckload move comes from GPS position, driver check calls and appointment confirmations rather than a scan trail.
How do I get a proof of delivery (POD)?
Ask for it with the load reference and we will email the signed bill of lading, usually the same day the freight delivers. PODs are also attached to the invoice for that shipment, so your accounts payable team receives the documentation without a separate request.
What happens if my shipment is running late?
You hear from us before you have to ask. When a carrier reports a delay — weather, a border hold, a breakdown, an hours-of-service reset — the specialist on the load contacts you with the revised ETA and the recovery options: re-powering the trailer, adding a team driver, or reworking the delivery appointment with the receiver.
Can I get tracking on cross-border Canada–US freight?
Yes. Cross-border loads are tracked the same way, with the customs entry status added: we monitor the PARS or PAPS number through release so you know whether a delay at the border is documentation, inspection or a queue.
Do regular shippers get automatic updates?
Yes. Customers shipping on recurring lanes are set up for proactive notification — pickup confirmation, in-transit check calls and delivery POD sent without being asked. Tell us your lanes and we will configure it.
Stop asking. Start being told.
Shippers moving freight with us regularly are set up for proactive notification: pickup confirmation, in-transit check calls and the signed proof of delivery, pushed to whoever needs them without a single phone call. Tell us your lanes, your receivers and who on your team needs to know, and we will configure it around your process rather than ours.
