Health Canada Cannabis Act — Licensed Transport

Canada’s Cannabis Act (SC 2018, c. 16) and Cannabis Regulations require that cannabis be transported only by persons authorized under a Licence for Sale, Cultivation, Processing, or by federally licensed distributors. Drivers must hold Health Canada Security Clearances, vehicles must have locking cargo compartments, and transport manifests must accompany every shipment. State Cannabis Licensing (US Legal States)

US cannabis transport is governed state-by-state. A carrier licensed in one state cannot haul cannabis in another without that state’s licence.
